Guidance for safely caring for the sick and infection control.

Studies have shown that even basic health care such as adequate water, food, and warmth can result in a much higher percentage rate of survival of a disease. During the 1918 Influenza, it was determined that many died simply because there was no one to look after the sick and provide them these basic essential needs.
This sections provides documents explaining the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system, along with the pathophysiology (the process of the disease) of the HPAI H5N1 and influenza viruses. These will give a foundation to understanding the medications administered for complications that may arise.
In addition, it has been determined that the complications of COVID-19, seasonal influenza, and Avian Influenza can lead to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) which is caused by a cytokine storm. Studies done during the COVID-19 Pandemic have given rise to the use of over the counter (OTC) remedies and supplements to help prevent a cytokine storm. "How to Prevent ARDS" provides information on these studies.
Before caring for the sick, it is vital to properly protect yourself. Extensive information is provided on Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to prevent exposure to the disease while caring for an infected person. Finally, instructions on how to effectively clean and disinfect surfaces and laundry is provided to control the spread of the disease.

"For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat;
I was thirsty,and you gave Me something to drink;
I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;
naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me;
I was in prison, and you came to Me."
