Our mission is to prepare and equip the Body of Christ
for an Avian Influenza Pandemic so to be able
to safely and effectively minister to the community
and bring the gospel into the crisis.

At its height, COVID-19 had a mortality rate of 1.2%. Those with comorbidities were at higher risk for severe complications and even death. Its difficult societal effects were caused more by the mitigations of lockdowns and social distancing mandated by the government. Conversely, experts state that the1918 Influenza Pandemic had a 50% death rate and killed more people in one year than in World War I and the Black Death Bubonic Plague combined. It was the lethality of the virus itself that caused the devastating effects on society.
The HPAI H5N1 has been followed and studied extensively for the past two decades. The virulence, structure, and origin of this virus are very similar to the virus that caused the 1918 Influenza Pandemic. In addition, the pathogenesis (the origin and development of a disease) of both viruses are also similar, causing the severe lung pathology of a cytokine storm causing Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS); thus, leading to a shared high mortality of a 50% death rate.
Church history tells us that Christianity grew through plagues, disasters, and persecution. It was the Christians' acts of love and caring for the sick that validated their faith. The Christian movement grew despite the mortality rate, as well as persecution. Throughout ancient and modern history there are recorded the sacrificial acts of those who risked everything to further the cause of the Kingdom. Christians can play a major role in caring for the sick, serving the community, and bringing the gospel into the crisis.
The information provided on this website uses the 1918 Influenza as a model (the pathophysiology of the virus, and its societal effects) in addition to what we’ve learned from the COVID-19 pandemic as the bases for this comprehensive plan. Updated PDF documents and PowerPoint presentations are provided for free download for individual and corporate use.
